Made it to Arlington, VA
Well we made it to Arlington, VA. This is where we'll be staying during our visit to DC. We have free internet access again - woo hoo! I'll try to post a couple pictures tomorrow evening of our last few days on the east coast. But for now it's getting late (close to midnight East Coast time) and we have an early day tomorrow heading out to the Smithsonian, so I better be going...

Hey, just was there last week for a class. The jewelry at the Natural History Museum is pretty cool - they have the Hope Diamond, and I went on the F-18 simulator ride at the Air & Space Smithsonian - worth the $6.50. Managed not to crash, but everytime I tried to turn around, I ended up barrel rolling 360, and yes, it is like a real simulator - you are upside down! Well, have fun and wear good walking shoes! (my feet still hurt!)

Thanks Mary! We just went to the Air and Space Museum today. Spent the entire day there. I noticed the simulator rides about 15 minutes before the museum closed, so I didn't get a chance to check that particular feature out. :( Oh well. I did enjoy the trip anyhow and we watched the International Space Station 3D movie, which was really neat.
