In need of an ark, potentially

The weather has been crazy. It's been full on wet this year. We're hoping to capitalize on the moisture by flinging dairy poo on the fields, but it's expensive.

Today it rained mad buckets. The hubby decided we needed to have Chinese buffet action after we observed a nice mellow bit of rain. Good grub, of course, and the manager (who is a total nut) insisted we try the whole flounder at a first try discount. Well worth it. Anyway, so on the way back home we notice this huge grey cucuiness and figure somebody is getting a heavy rain on. I open my fat mouth and say "I hope it's us." Well wouldn't you know it, I turn down our road and the clouds are pelting the shit out of us. It got so bad I had to keep it down to 30 and even pulled over once because I couldn't see. Ridiculous. Not that I'm complaining about the rainage, but it would be nice to not have an apocalypse while I'm on the road.

I think the cats are all freaked out now.

This cat is stalking me

Thanks to my bro-in-law I am now helplessly hooked on the StumbleUpon madness. I should have been in bed an hour and a half ago.

But tonight, for some reason, this fucking cat is every other click. Mind you, those examples are just the ones I could get from tracking back in my history. (A bunch got eaten by me surfing engrish goodness.) That cat is sucking out their souls, man!

Bitch!

I Stumbled Upon this really strange game. It's got mostly Japanese text, so it takes a sec to decipher, but basically you just slap the shit out of your opponent.

I am so easily amused

Just a little comic that amused me. No, this is not filler.

Honest.

Big fat yawner

The most interesting thing that's happened lately is that ghost kitty smelled my finger.

Yeah, I know - boring.

I am a melange of smoky aromas

It's a mix of mesquite barbecue goodness and sulfurous firework stank. I smell like Nightcrawler at a hoedown. The grub was great, of course, and the fireworks were bitchin' for having sat in the bomb shelter for a year. Of course one of the block deals had to go nuts and fall over, trying to shoot me and setting a couple little grass fires that I had to stomp out. Can't have a July 4th explode-fest without a little mishap. I couldn't set off every single one though - there are still six artillery shells left. I just don't have the fortitude to run away from them anymore. My legs are going to be so sore tomorrow.

I am so lame

I've been trying to come up with ways to use up the firecracker strings that we've had in the bomb shelter since last year. Normally I get the big brick of four 1000-stringers, but somehow I was stupid and got the brick with twenty 80-stringers. I'm too lazy to light off that many strings. So I put them in with the trash when I burn it, I put some in a paper bag and lit them, I'm trying to figure out how to string multiple strings together so they'll all go off at once.

I have three left, but it's too hot outside to light them off. And yet, I want to go and buy more. The little bit of poppage from an 80-string just doesn't quite make me giggle like one you could use as a scarf (if you were out of your damn mind).

It's happening again

I'm in the mood to gripe. It won't take long, I promise.

WTF is up with this Valorisa game that I joined? You know, the cute freeform fantasy deal where I'm playing an entirely amusing shadow demon accountant. It's been like two weeks now, and the only thing people are posting to is the thread where one of the two refs apologized for not being around. Hey fuckers - post to the fucking game! It's working my nerves - but not as much as the fact that, once again, I post things in character and I get fucking ignored! Nobody responds to me. Assholes. I should have known better than to get involved with a big group game like this.

So I've decided that Demetrius is going to sulk in the library, do his job, and occasionally sneak out to eat children and piss in the grog. I know he's not strictly supposed to be able to urinate, but we'll figure something out.

I hate gaming with online flakes.

Paper or plastic?

It's a comic strip, but I have to put it behind the cut so it will fit right. Also, it's fuctup. Cyanide and Happiness, a daily webcomic

Two things I found disappointing

Yes, I've been up all damn day.

#1 - Store brand clear nose strip things: I had to pinch the stupid thing on to get it to stick completely, then the glue decided that it wanted to live on me when I was done with the plastic it was glopped on. I only got them cuz for some reason you can only get the non-large of the brand name in a vapor variety, and I don't want my eyes watering while I'm trying to sleep.

#2 - The end of Hannibal Rising: Not a bad movie, but not really worth the PPV price we paid to see it. I was irked at how unbelievably anticlimactic the end was. I don't think I'll bother to read the book.

Because I like it when others talk about me as much as I like talking about myself

This is my personal DNA thingy - one of those personality test things.

Some highlights:

Your preferences for artistic works are very refined, although you vastly prefer some types and styles to others.

You're not one to force your positions on a group, and you tend to be fair in evaluating different options.

You have fewer friendships than some, but the relationships you do have are very meaningful and important to you.

You tend to enjoy the world through ideas and reflection, which allows you to get a lot out of the time you spend alone.

And yet nowhere does it say that I like to eat babies or want to dominate the world with an army of leather clad lesbian terror bikers. Because I do - the bikers, not the babies.

Apparently spam is gay

When I first noticed the annoyance of comment spam here it was pretty much evenly split between two posts - something about technology hating me, and one about me babbling about gay shit. Apparently my gremlin issues don't rate so much in the spam community anymore, because now they are just determined to slip one in on the 'So unbelievably gay' entry. I go in and delete the crap every couple of weeks, and I know that it's spam because it's always on that same one. Thank you spam losers for making the deletion so easy. It doesn't hurt that the address I have the notifications sent to screens out almost all of them as spam anyway, so I know when a real comment comes in anyway. So, while it would be nice to see spammers strung up by their genitals over a pit of fire ants, I don't feel the urge to do it myself because of the convenience of being able to ignore them anyway.

But you know, if you have a fire ant pit handy, and some nice genital hooky things, I'd be happy to go spammer hunting with you. What kind of pheromones do you use for that?

Magnetic poetry is bad for you

At least it is when I play with it. Observe:
