Screwy Karma
Okay, get this. The hubby managed to get a day or two overdrawn on the vacation thing. These things happen. Afterwards, his boss decides to send him one of those passive aggressive type computer notes. Now I understand that being the boss you have to do that sort of thing, but the way he goes about it is kind of unnecessarily assy. Then, on Friday, karma comes around in one of those lose-lose fashions. See, said boss is a worse procrastinator than I could ever be. So bad, in fact, that he needed some help getting some work done before the October deadline. The deadline that comes after the deadline for late returns, which comes after the most common deadline in the business - April 15th. Yeah, that far behind.
And who does he go to for help? Why, the only person in the office who is likely to go out of his way to bust his ass simply because that is the way to get the job done. And his incentive was an extra week off, which has to be used by the end of the year, at the time of the year when time off is rare because tax season is ramping up. So the poor hubby had to drag his ass to the office to do work on the weekend, meaning that by Friday he will have worked 12 full days in a row. Now that is some bullshit right there. But it looks like we're either having a long Thanksgiving break, or we may end up using up the time down in Mineral Wells helping RAM out on account of he broke his foot. Either way, it will be a well earned break.
